  • In water tub filled with cool water mix a cup of oatmeal powder.
  • Stir until you notice the water turning milky.
  • Now, just read a good book while you relax in the bathtub for half an hour.

2.  Sandalwood Powder

Sandalwood helps to cool down your body temperature which, in turn, aids fast recovery.

Method

  • Make a paste by mixing equivalent amount of rose water and sandalwood powder.

  • Let the paste sit until it dries.
  • Wash it off with water that is cold and chilly. 

 

3. Baking Soda

Baking soda is another helpful home remedy for prickly heat treatment. It works as a gentle soft agent that helps unclog pores by separate dead skin cells, dirt and other pollutant. This will help to relieve the itching and inflammation associated with prickly heat.

Method

  • Firstly, add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to 1 cup of cold water.
  • Soak a clean washcloth in the solution and wring out the excess water.
  • Put the washcloth over the affected area for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Repeat this process 4 or 5 times a day for a week.

 

4. Cold Treatment

You should try a cold compress over the affected area will give instant relief from infections, inflammation, prickling sensations and itching.

Method

  • Wrap some ice cubes in a dishcloth. Put it on the affected areas for 5 to 10 minutes at a time. Repeat this process every 4 to 6 hours for 2 to 3 days. This will help to prevent the rashes from getting worse and spreading further.
  • Alternatively, you can soak a cotton cloth in cold water, wring out the excess water and place it over the affected area for 5 to 10 minutes. Repeat this 3 or 4 times a day for about a week.
  • You can also take a cold shower as necessary to reduce the intensity of prickly heat symptoms.
