Potato: The starch content of potato not only helps in removing dark patches but also dark circles. Peel off potato completely cut into round pieces in order to hold them easily. Onion juice/pulp: This acts as a powerful bleaching agent and reduces tanning as well as dark patches. Make smooth paste of onion and take out the juice from its pulp. Add 2 tablespoons of honey to it to reduce the odor and apply it on the skin. Honey is also a natural bleaching agent to the skin. Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with cold water.

Lemon: Lemon or citrus fruit has an excellent content of citric acid which removes tanning to the skin. Take some lemon juice and apply gently on the skin with dark patches. Rub for sometime Use a smooth scrub to clean after. Rinse with water thoroughly. This also enhances the glow of your skin.
Gram flour: Gram flour or besan along with buttermilk or curd is applied as pack to the skin containing dark patches. To make this, take 2-3 table spoons of gram flour and mix it with butter milk or curd to form smooth paste. Apply this pack on those dark patched areas and leave for 15 minutes.
